Nina Dirié
Rooted in the Ashtanga Yoga system and enriched by vinyasa, hatha, kriya, Katonah Yoga, pranayama and meditation. Structured enough to hold you, open enough to meet you where you are on the day.
Morning practice
Eighty minutes with room to warm up properly and to finish properly. Strength and structure at the front, breath and stillness at the back. Come as a beginner or come with twenty years behind you.
Short sessions
Brief, focused practice for a body that needs moving more than it needs a whole morning. Enough to change the rest of the day.
Private classes
A space where you get to be fully held. A space to slow down, to listen, and to reconnect, away from the noise and pace of daily life. More therapeutic and more supportive than a group room can be, and adapted entirely to you.
Where to find me in Lisbon. Between Leela and Amplify, most mornings of the week.
Longer stretches of time, where the practice gets to unfold instead of being fitted around a morning.
Seven days of yogic practices for modern life, co-hosted with Hannah. Mornings in silence with meditation, pranayama and asana. Teachings and discussion on yogic philosophy. Workshops and asana labs to refine technique, alignment and awareness. Time to rest, reflect and be in nature, and evenings of yoga nidra, mantra or journaling. For dedicated practitioners who feel the call to go deeper.
Five days of yoga, nature, nourishment and spaciousness, twenty-five minutes from the airport and a short walk from Jarugo beach. Mornings are hatha-vinyasa weaving asana, pranayama, mantra and kriya, drawn primarily from Ashtanga vinyasa with Ghosh Yoga, vinyasa and Katonah Yoga in it. Afternoons slow down into yin, restorative and guided meditation. Seasonal vegetarian food from a chef out of Portugal, with vegan and gluten-free accommodated.
I teach in studios and I build immersions with other people. If you run a space or hold your own practice, this is where I am.
Guest classes and workshops
A weekly slot, a guest morning, or a workshop on something specific: technique, alignment, pranayama, or the therapeutic end of the practice. I currently teach at Leela and Amplify in Lisbon.
Co-hosting an immersion
The best weeks I have been part of came from two teachers putting their practices side by side. I am co-hosting A Sadhana Immersion in Monchique with Hannah, and I am open to building another.
Teaching on your retreat
You hold the container, I hold the practice. Mornings that build and afternoons that release, adapted to whoever is actually in the room rather than to a template.
Yoga teacher and student. The second half of that matters more to me than the first.
My practice is rooted in the Ashtanga system and enriched by vinyasa, hatha, kriya, Katonah Yoga, pranayama and meditation. What I teach blends awareness and introspection with a more therapeutic, supportive approach, so it can hold you not only physically but mentally and emotionally too.
Each session is designed to help you step out of the thinking mind and into the feeling body, so you leave with more clarity, softness and understanding of yourself. Embracing the joy of being.
Where you’ll find me
What the room sounds like
When a retreat opens, when an immersion has a place left, and when the studio timetable changes. Sent to you rather than announced and missed.
