In Kalā Yoga’s words
Hanumanasana, or the splits, is named for Hanuman, the devoted monkey god who took a single great leap across the ocean. In this workshop, we'll take that leap one step at a time. Together, we'll break the pose down into its parts: opening the hamstrings, releasing the hip flexors and quads, and building the strength and stability that make deep flexibility feel safe and sustainable. Through thoughtful warm-ups, targeted drills, and creative use of props, you'll find a version of Hanumanasana that works for your body today, along with tools to keep progressing after class. All levels are welcome. Whether your splits are a lifelong goal or just a curiosity, come explore with patience, playfulness, and a sense of humor.
