In Lotusland Yoga SF’s words
A benefit class for the Love for Lotusland fundraiser! Ever wanted to float like a ghost or hang upside down like a bat? Warm up for trick-or-treating by learning some acro tricks (and grab a few early treats). This playful workshop takes your practice off the mat and into the air. Working in groups of three or more, participants start with trust-building warm-ups and games, then move into foundational acro poses, with transitions between poses introduced along the way. The class emphasizes clear communication and careful spotting so everyone can have fun and explore the poses safely. No experience or partner needed; come solo or bring a buddy. Either way, we hope you'll leave with some new friends! People of all levels, ages, and genders are welcome. The workshop will build in progressions and modifications to fit everyone. Costumes are optional but encouraged, as long as you can move comfortably — think skeleton onesie, not inflatable T-Rex. And last but not least, we'll wrap up with candy for all! Unsure or nervous about joining? What better time than Halloween to face a fear or two and have a great time doing it! Reach out with any questions. Sliding scale $30 - 50 with Juan and Camila Juan and Camila have been practicing acro yoga together since 2020, after each discovering it at yoga studios in their former hometowns of New Orleans and Houston. A certified acro yoga teacher, Juan has taught all-levels classes for several years, with an emphasis on play, thoughtful progressions, and strengthening drills. Originally very nervous when her feet were off the ground, Camila now loves helping people through those same fears. Her favorite part of the practice is building the communication and trust it takes to work with a partner - and seeing the excitement when people learn something new together. Since moving to San Francisco, Juan and Camila have found a warm welcome and many instant friends in the local acro community. They’re excited to share that spirit with Lot
