In Iyengar Yoga Centrum Amsterdam’s words
A 3 hour workshop, open to all students. The pelvic floor is more than just a group of muscles—it is a key structure for alignment, stability and energy. You will learn how to bring precise awareness, structural balance, and intelligent action to this often misunderstood area of the body. What we will explore: Anatomical Precision: Understand the structure of the pelvis and how it interacts with the lower back, hips, and core. Asana Alignment: Explore how targeted standing poses, inversions, and restorative asanas can create either space or tone in the pelvic floor. The Role of Props: Learn how to use blocks, blankets, and chairs to bring awareness and correct alignment to the pelvic floor. Energy and Breath: Connect physical alignment to the foundational concepts of mula bandha (energetic seal) and steady breath. Who Is the workshop for? This workshop is open to all Iyengar Yoga students. Whether you are dealing with specific pelvic floor issues, overly tense or too lose, suffering from prolapse, or whether you are looking to improve your core stability, want to deepen your personal practice, this session will provide clear, actionable insights to understand how to activate or release your pelvic floor muscles.
