Reformer classes with a physiotherapy focus
The classes at Platinum Pilates Sandymount are built around the reformer. The dynamic classes work through full body movement and focus on core strength, balance and flexibility, with levels that build from Dynamic Reformer 1 to more demanding work for those who have built up strength. The Dynamic Reformer JumpBoard class mixes Pilates moves with a jump board, offering plyometric intervals for experienced clients.
Physiotherapist-led classes form a distinct part of the timetable. Osteo-Strong Reformer is designed for people with osteoporosis or osteopenia and focuses on safe, progressive strength work, posture and balance. Pelvic Health Reformer is aimed at postnatal and peri- and menopausal women, with attention to the pelvic floor, core and stability.
