In Zen Center of Denver’s words
It is a Zen Center of Denver tradition to bring in the new year with a ceremony including elements of quiet reflection, kinhin on the zen garden deck lit by luminarias, a noisy procession to purify the temple, and social time together with friends. The ceremony this year will be on Thursday, December 31 from 7pm-9pm. Participants are invited to bring in writing something they would like to release privately, as well as something they would like to share such as an intention for the new year, a brief reading, or poem. Please also bring a noisemaker and a treat to share. Labeling items with potential allergen ingredients is appreciated.
