Thursday, 12 November 2026 | 7.30 – 9.00pm A picture speaks a thousand words! John the Baptist, St Elizabeth and Mary are the principal people we meet in the biblical narratives of Advent and the Birth of Jesus. In this short session, we examine some paintings and sculptures depicting these events and discover the subtle touches which draw the viewer into a deeper understanding of the coming of Jesus and his mission. Some art works are from the National Gallery of Ireland so you can view them again at your leisure.
