In-Person and Online: Community Open Sit – Thanksgiving Weekend Sunday, November 29th, 2026 | 10:00am – 1:00pm ET In-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th floor Online via Zoom – RSVP to receive your link Overwhelmed by holiday-related anxiety? Looking for a space to rest and check in with how you’re feeling? On Sunday, November 29, New York Insight is offering a meditation space for anyone who seeks a space to ground over Thanksgiving weekend. Allow yourself some space and embrace the stillness before returning to work and launching into the final month of the year. This is simply a morning to practice being grounded. Participants are encouraged to leave their phones at the door and maintain the Buddhist practice of Noble Silence . There will be no dharma talk—just a space to quietly sit. You are free to come and go as you please between 10:00am – 1:00pm. There will be tea and light refreshments available. Your generosity, or what we call dana, is what makes this morning of tranquility possible. Please give what you can. We are honored to offer a temple of reflection and quiet this holiday season and always. Suggested dana – $15 Registration Please RSVP for in-person or online attendance. You will receive a Zoom link in your confirmation email. If you are attending in person, please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure an orderly check-in. If you are having trouble completing your RSVP or donation, please CLICK HERE to open the form in a new browser. Please contact registration@nyimc.org if you need assistance.
