What the classes are
Pilates is the core of what good point pilates offers. Reformer classes are the most common, with names like reformer full body pilates and reformer surf strength, and a number of them come in afternoon versions. Infrared mat pilates sculpt and infrared strength training bring the same focus to a heated room, and a handful of yoga classes, including power vinyasa and yin, sit alongside them.
Many classes are described as strong, and a smaller number are gentle or restorative, such as the yin and restore sessions. Most sessions last about 50 minutes, with some infrared classes running to an hour or more.
The shape of the week
The studio's day begins early, with the first classes starting at 6:45am, and about half of all classes fall in the morning. Midday and the early afternoon are popular too, with noon and 1pm among the most frequent start times. Evenings are quieter, and the latest class begins at 6:30pm.
Because weekdays carry most of the timetable, Wednesday, Thursday and Monday tend to be the busiest days. Weekend classes make up about a fifth of the schedule, so a Saturday or Sunday visit is possible as well.
