The Radiant Body: Yang
Use the breath to shift how you feel.
In Folk Yoga NOPA (formerly Yoga Garden)’s words
The Radiant Body is an invitation to re-member yourself. In a culture that often asks us to live in our heads, avoid discomfort, and disconnect from ourselves and one another, this practice offers space to slow down, listen inward, and rediscover the body’s innate capacity for movement, expression, and vitality. Through an integrative blend of breathwork, energywork, somatic release, and meditation, we’ll explore the relationship between sensation, energy, and embodied presence. Each class invites curiosity, inner awareness, and moving from the inside out, cultivating greater agency, restoration, and connection. Meeting twice monthly, the practice alternates between Yin — a grounding, downregulating journey into stillness, safety, and restoration — and Yang — an energizing, activating practice of releasing stagnation and awakening expression and aliveness. Open to adults of all genders and experience levels, including those new to somatic practices. No prior experience is necessary; all practices are invitational and can be modified. Participants will leave with practical tools for reconnecting with their bodies, cultivating presence, and bringing greater embodied joy into everyday life. Participation note: This practice is not designed for those who are newly pregnant or in the early postpartum period.
