What the classes are
Most of what YLOH offers is reformer Pilates, taught on Merrithew V2 Max reformers, with towers and mat work alongside. Core and pelvic floor work runs through most classes, and strength is the main thread. A smaller group of sessions adds infrared heat, including YLOH Sculpt and the YLOH Lift classes that use the 25 lb YLOH Strength Beam.
The lengthening side of the schedule sits in classes like Reformer Divine Strength and Reformer Full Body Flow, which focus on posture, mobility, flexibility and control. Glutes Blessed is the lower-body class, working the glutes, hips and hamstrings. Mat classes like Mat Full Body Burn and Mat Full Body Flow keep the same ideas going without the reformer.
How the week runs
The studio's schedule is weighted toward the morning. More than half of the classes start before noon, and about a fifth start before 9am. The busiest start times are 8:30am, 9:30am, 9:45am and 10:30am. Midday and evening classes are fewer, with about one in ten falling into each, and some classes also run on weekends.
The classes are led by about ten facilitators, with Candyce Heather, Isabella Miller and Ava Michelle among those with the most classes. Each session runs 50 minutes, so a visit fits neatly into a lunch break or an early start.
