In Unity Studios Northcote - Pilates and Physio’s words
Coming back from an injury, surgery, or a body that’s not been moving so well lately? This is the class for you. Reformer Rehab is a small, slower-paced class taught taught by one of our Physios. We use the reformer’s springs to support you where you need it and challenge you where you’re ready, so you can rebuild strength without guessing what’s suitable for your body. You will be taught to learn and explore your modifications as you go, with the goal of being able to then effectively self-manage moving forward. Expect lots of individual attention, plenty of modifications, and a focus on getting the basics right: breathing, your deep core and pelvic floor, and moving well. It’s a great fit if you’re: - Returning to exercise after injury or surgery (please book a 1:1 physio appointment first) - Managing joint pain (please book a 1:1 physio appointment first) - Dealing with pelvic floor symptoms like leaking or heaviness (please book a 1:1 physio appointment first) - New to Pilates and want a gentle, well-supported start Recovery isn’t a straight line, and we won’t pretend it is. Some days you’ll feel strong, whereas other days things might feel a little 'off', and both are completely normal. We’ll try our best to meet you where you are. No reformer experience needed, and regular class Packs/Memberships can be used to book. If you’ve got something specific going on, please let us know before you book so we can advise if this is the right class for you, and help make the appropriate plans. (a 1:1 Physio appointment prior to attending group class may be advised).
