What the studio teaches

The studio is built around pole dance. Beginner, intermediate and advanced courses run as monthly series, and each four-hour course teaches a connected choreography, so you can see your progress from one hour to the next. Specialist classes like Basic Heels Steps and Advanced Special add variety for people who already know the basics.

The studio also runs a small number of classes that work the body in other ways. Back, flexibility, mobility and stretch, and yoga appear on the timetable alongside the pole work, as does a postnatal class and a strength class. These are a useful choice if you want something slower or more focused on the body without leaving the studio.

How the week runs

Most classes run in the evening, and the studio also offers a good number of midday and weekend classes. Start times are spread from 9am through to 9:45pm. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are the busiest days, with the most popular start times falling around 10am, 12:30pm, 6pm and 8:30pm.

Each class lasts about an hour. Many are open to whichever level you are at, and the facilitators tend to be relaxed about beginners stepping in. Because the studio is busy in the evenings, it is worth looking at the weekday midday and weekend options if you want a quieter room.
