A yoga-rooted practice
Yoga is the root of the work at studio z. The studio draws on a yoga tradition that is old but taught in a contemporary, undogmatic form, and that foundation runs through most of the schedule. Alongside it, the studio offers Pilates as gentle full-body training that suits people of any age, hatha yoga in classic and energetic forms, and vinyasa and power yoga for those who want more movement.
The studio also runs classes with a clear purpose. A postnatal course helps rebuild strength, stability and the core after birth, and a prevention course is set over ten sessions. There is an anatomically grounded posture and movement class aimed at comfort and body awareness, and a training class for seniors.
When and how the week runs
Most classes take place in the morning, and about a third fall in the evening. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are the busiest days, and the most common start times are 8:30am, 4:30pm, 6:15pm and 8pm. Weekend classes are rare, and there are no classes at midday, which makes the studio a good fit for early or after-work practice.
Classes run for 60 minutes in most cases, with some longer sessions of 75 or 90 minutes. Almost all classes are taught in German.
