What is taught here
Yoga is the core of the schedule, and yin, gentle flow and restorative classes appear most often. Vinyasa, free flow and all-levels ashtanga give a more active option. Restore and calm are the feelings that come up most in the class descriptions.
The studio also runs sound-based sessions. Sacred sound meditation with Tibetan bowls, yoga nidra with sound savasana and gong and bowl work all offer a quieter way to practice. Several classes combine a gentle or yin practice with a sound savasana at the end.
How the week runs
Most classes start in the morning, with a good share of them before noon. Evening classes are fewer, and the latest start is at 6pm. Weekends have a fair number of classes too, roughly a fifth of the total. Every class is about an hour long, so it is easy to fit one in around the day.
The studio is in Poway, not in Encinitas itself, so it suits people who are already traveling through the area or who want to practice a little farther inland.
