"Twerk is still a very taboo dancing style, but I strongly believe that the root of the problem is not so much that twerking can be seen as a sexual dance, but rather the gaze that is placed on this dance. I am willing to contribute to changing minds about this dance style." In each class, we will learn twerk technique as well as a choreography that is a fusion with another dance style. The Monday class has more of a focus on twerk choreography, allowing us to go deeper into combinations, musicality, and performance. The Thursday class is more focused on technique, with only a little bit of choreography (mini choreo). This makes the class more accessible to total beginners. Twerk can also be mixed with many other styles (hip hop, dembow, heels), which opens up many creative possibilities. Class will be in English. Outfit recommendations: Kneepads, loose shorts, or stretchy booty shorts ------------------------------------ "Twerk ist immer noch ein sehr tabuisierter Tanzstil. Ich möchte dazu beitragen, die Sichtweise auf diesen Tanzstil zu verändern!" In jeder Stunde lernen wir die Twerk-Technik, aber auch eine Choreografie, die mit einem anderen Tanzstil fusioniert ist. Der Montagskurs legt einen stärkeren Fokus auf Twerk-Choreografie. Hier arbeiten wir intensiver an Kombinationen, Musikalität und Performance. Der Donnerstagskurs konzentriert sich mehr auf Technik, mit nur einer kleinen Choreografie (Mini Choreo). Dadurch ist dieser Kurs besonders einsteigerfreundlich und auch für komplette Anfänger:innen geeignet. Twerk lässt sich mit vielen anderen Tanzstilen kombinieren (Hip Hop, Dembow, Heels), was viele kreative Möglichkeiten eröffnet.
