What is taught here

Most of the timetable is yoga. Vinyasa and flow classes are the backbone of the week, with slow flow, core and mobility sessions beside them for a different pace. Iyengar and hatha give a more deliberate, alignment-focused way in, and yin and restorative classes offer a quieter counterpoint.

The studio also runs a few classes outside yoga. Qigong and tai chi, pilates, and sound bath meditation appear on the timetable, so the practice reaches past the mat.

How the week runs

The evening holds most of the timetable, with the busiest starts at 6:15pm and 7:30pm. Mornings begin at 7:30am and carry roughly a third of classes, and weekends follow a similar share. Wednesday, Sunday and Friday are the busiest days, which is useful to know if you prefer a quieter room.

For families, prenatal, postnatal and mum and baby classes sit within the regular week. Most sessions last an hour, with some restorative classes running to 75 minutes.

Hello Yoga Studio: questions and answers

When do most people practice at hello yoga studio?

Most of the classes at hello yoga studio on Hornsey Road run in the evening, and more than half of the week falls after 5pm. The busiest start times are 6:15pm, 7:30pm, 5pm and 1pm, and the busiest days are Wednesday, Sunday and Friday. The earliest class starts at 7:30am, so there is room before work for those who want it.

Are there classes for pregnancy and new parents?

Yes. The studio offers prenatal yoga, mum and baby yoga and postnatal classes, alongside a smaller number of parent and child sessions. These are a steady part of the timetable rather than a single class, so they are easy to find once you know to look for them.

What kind of yoga is most common here?

Vinyasa is the style that comes up most, with flow classes, slow flow and vinyasa core and mobility all part of that range. If you want something gentler, yin, restorative and gentle classes make up a smaller share of the week. Iyengar and hatha are there too, for those who like a slower, more precise pace.

Who leads the classes, and how long are they?

The studio lists a couple of dozen facilitators, and classes are led by several names more than others, including Claire Marchais, Solène Pannetier, Ellen Wiltshire, Estella Alvares and Mags Karenova. Most classes last about an hour, and some restorative sessions run a little longer.
