What the classes cover

LIA Pilates is built around Pilates, and nearly every class draws on the core and pelvic floor. The names of the classes show how the work is layered. Foundation classes build the basic patterns, Transitional classes add more challenge, and Power and Cardio Pilates bring in strength and pace. Gentle Pilates offers a slower way in for anyone who wants a softer session.

Most of the timetable is strong work rather than gentle, and about half of the classes are marked for experienced practitioners. If you are new to Pilates, look for the foundation classes first and step up from there.

How the week runs
