When classes run

Most of the week at Malibu Fitness runs in the early hours. More than half the classes start before 9am, with the earliest at 5am and common starts at 6am, 7am, 8:15am and 9:30am. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are the busiest days. Evening classes are fewer, and the latest start is at 5:30pm.

Weekends carry about a fifth of the timetable, so the rhythm of the week stays steady.

What the classes are

Strength is the largest group, roughly a third of all classes, with sweat and strong classes close behind. Infrared sessions, such as Release and Relax and Yoga Flow, use heated rooms, and about one in ten classes is infrared. Yoga, Pilates, barre and flexibility classes give a gentler counterweight to the strength work.

Classes such as Spin and Sculpt, On The Ball, Fight Club, TRX and Latin Rhythms and Sweat show the range of formats. Most classes last an hour, while Yoga Flow and Yoga Fit and Flexible run 75 minutes.
