About Centro MaNa

centromana sits on Calle de Alonso Cano in Almagro, and its timetable is built around Pilates. Most of the classes are reformer and mat work for adults, with a dedicated level for those who already know the work well. Alongside the Pilates there is a substantial swimming school for babies, children and adults, plus aquagym, so the studio has both a dry and a water side.

It suits you if

  • you want a steady Pilates practice on the reformer

What the studio offers

The studio is built around Pilates, with reformer work forming the core of the adult timetable. Alongside the reformer there are classes that focus on core and pelvic floor, joints and mobility, and back, as well as barre and a few mobility and stretch sessions. The reformer Clasic runs for 55 minutes, and the Nivel II class is designed for those who already know the machine well.

Beyond the dry studio work, centromana runs a sizable swimming school. Classes for babies, toddlers and children are taught in short sessions, and adult swimming and aquagym run for 45 minutes. This mix gives the studio a clear focus on movement and strength for different ages.

When and with whom to practice

Most classes take place in the evening, with a clear peak between 5pm and 6:30pm, and a smaller number in the morning from 7am onward. Midday and weekend sessions are few, so the week leans toward people who can practice after work. Most classes run for around 30 minutes for the swimming school, with the Pilates sessions longer.

The studio is led by a couple of dozen facilitators. Samuel, Teresa, Mar, Maria and Katherine are among those who teach the most classes. Most sessions are taught in German, and a smaller share in English.
