What is taught at Kora Balance
Pilates is nearly all of what Kora Balance offers. Reformer is the style that shapes the most of it, appearing in more than half of the classes, and the machine chair appears as well. Mat pilates is part of the timetable too, and there is a steady presence of barre, which accounts for about a fifth of the classes.
The studio also runs prenatal classes, both on the reformer and on the floor. They make up about one in ten of the classes, and they sit in the same timetable as the rest of the practice.
How the week runs
Most of the day's classes start in the evening, with more than half falling after 5pm and the busiest starts at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm. Mornings carry about a third of the timetable, with a second cluster around 10:30am. A few classes start before 9am, and the earliest starts at 8:30am. Midday is quiet by comparison, and weekends carry only about one in ten classes.
The busiest days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The latest start of the week is at 9:30pm.
Who leads and how to book
The studio has about ten facilitators, and Dori Parra, Marta Ferreras, Angela Martin, María García, Elena Charro, Aaron Garcia and Cris Maestre lead the largest number of classes. Classes are taught in Spanish.
Kora Balance does not sell a pass, so each class is booked on its own. The studio's website at korabalance.com has its own account of the space, the people and what to expect on a first visit.

How do I book a class at Kora Balance?
Kora Balance does not offer a pass for its classes, so you book classes directly with the studio. Classes run around 50 minutes each. The studio has about ten facilitators, several of whom teach a large share of the timetable.
Is Kora Balance a good place to start pilates?
Reformer pilates and mat pilates both run at Kora Balance, so the studio suits people who want a slower start on the mat or the more structured feel of the machines. Each class is 50 minutes, which gives room to settle in. Asking the studio which level suits a first visit is a sensible step.
