Anse Yoga is a yoga studio in Obermenzing, in the west of Munich, where hatha yoga is the heart of the week. The classes move through flowing sequences at a steady pace, with a clear line between the levels so that a first-time student and someone with years of practice can both find a place in the room. The studio also offers a few classes in mobility, breathwork and yin, and a sound bath.
It suits you if
- you want a steady hatha practice close to home
- you are returning to yoga after a break
- you prefer morning or early evening classes

Hatha at every level
Anse Yoga's timetable is built around hatha yoga flows, which make up nearly all of its classes. The sequences repeat familiar postures and add more advanced elements as the levels rise, so the same style can serve a first class and a regular practice. Mobility and stretch, breathwork and yin appear in smaller numbers, and a sound bath is offered as well.
The studio has several levels in its hatha classes. Level 1 is a gentle entry, with supportive props used with care. Level 1-2 suits practitioners who already know yoga and want to revisit foundational postures with more depth. Level 2 asks for about a year of regular practice and works on stronger flows and correct alignment.
When and for whom
Classes are spread across the week, with most of them in the early evening and a smaller share in the morning, from about 8:30am. The busiest days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Many people practice after work, when the classes around 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8pm fill up.
Several classes are designed for specific needs. There are hatha flows for people over 60 that focus on mobility and fitness, and prenatal hatha classes that help expectant mothers connect with their bodies and their babies. Both are offered as single tickets or as courses.

What kinds of classes does Anse Yoga offer?
Most of the classes are hatha yoga flows, with a few in mobility and stretch, breathwork, yin and sound bath. Classes are offered for all levels, for experienced practitioners, for people over 60 and for expectant mothers, so there is room for both a first class and a long-running practice.
