What the studio offers
METHOD Lagree Studio is a pilates studio in Grenelle, on Rue du Théâtre in the 15th arrondissement. The studio teaches the Lagree method, which uses a machine that moves on a carriage so that each exercise is taken slowly and with deliberate control. The practice is built to engage every muscle of the body in a single session.
The timetable is made up of dozens of classes, most of them 50 minutes long. Sessions begin as early as 7am and continue into the evening, with the last start at 8:30pm. Mornings and evenings are the busiest parts of the day, and weekends make up about a fifth of the schedule.
Classes and levels
LAGREE ESSENTIALS is the entry point. It is designed for beginners and introduces the machine, the posture and the basic techniques before anything more demanding is added. LAGREE EVOLUTION is open to all levels and adjusts to each participant, so people at different stages can practice side by side. LAGREE FIRE BURN is for experienced practitioners and keeps transitions short and exercises intense, with little time to rest between them.
The studio is taught in French. Its facilitators lead classes in a consistent format, and a newcomer can start with ESSENTIALS to become familiar with the machine before moving on to the other levels.
