What a week of reformer pilates looks like
Nearly every class at miel pilates is a reformer pilates class with a strong core and pelvic floor focus. The format stays consistent, which means you can build a routine around the same kind of work. Themed sessions such as the Monster Mash Fridays and Mieloween classes add variety while keeping the same reformer structure.
The studio's schedule leans toward the morning. More than half of the classes start before noon, and about a third begin before 9am. Classes most often begin at 6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am and 9:30am, with a smaller set of evening classes ending the day, the latest starting at 7pm.
Who leads and when to come
The studio is led by about ten facilitators, and Emi Reese, Aramara Nunez, Lucy Martinez, Emilia Anderson, Jessica Vanderzyl and Maddie Abene lead the most classes. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday carry the most classes across the week, while weekend classes make up about a fifth of the schedule.
Because classes run 45 minutes and there are no passes to buy, booking one class at a time keeps things simple. The strong energy of the work and its focus on the core make it a practice that rewards regular attendance.
