What the classes are
The studio's timetable is built around Pilates, and nearly all of its classes fall under that practice. More than half of them use the reformer, the sliding carriage with springs that lets movement be guided and resisted. Some classes concentrate on the core and pelvic floor, and about a third are described as strong, which asks for more effort through the body.
The studio runs a short list of classes, about ten in all, with a handful of facilitators. V and Alexis lead the largest share of them, so a visit here tends to mean the same small group of people guiding the work.
How the week is shaped
Classes begin at 10am and run until noon, with more than half falling in the morning and about a third at midday. There are no evening, weekend or before-9am sessions. Most classes last around 55 minutes, with some running to 60, and the busiest start times are 10am and noon.
Because the day is structured around these few hours, a visit suits someone who can plan around the morning or the middle of the day rather than the end of the workday.
