About The Club at Los Gatos

The Club at Los Gatos runs a steady, full week of strength, Pilates and body-focused classes from early morning into the evening. Most of the timetable is built around an hour of total body work, with barbell sessions, core and pelvic floor classes, and heated yoga and sweat classes sitting alongside. It is a space where a morning practice comes easily before the day begins.

It suits you if

  • you train early in the morning

What the classes are

The schedule leans strongly toward strength. About a third of the classes are labelled strong, and the remainder spreads across Pilates, core and pelvic floor work, sweat sessions and yoga. Barbell and total body formats appear often, and Pilates Mega Classic and Pilates Intermediate Flow give the Pilates side its own rhythm.

Yoga has a smaller presence. Power yoga, hot yoga, yin and a few calmer sessions sit beside the stronger formats, so a practice focused on flexibility or stillness is possible but not the main thread of the week.

How the week runs

Mornings are the backbone of the week. More than half of the classes start before noon, and about a fifth begin before 9am. Start times such as 6am, 9:15am and 10:30am appear often, and the busiest days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Evening classes are fewer but still regular, with about a fifth of the timetable starting in the evening and the latest class beginning at 7:15pm. Weekend sessions are a small share, around one in ten classes.

The Club at Los Gatos: questions and answers

What kinds of classes does the club offer?

Most classes here are strength and Pilates work, with a large share of barbell and total body sessions. Pilates and core and pelvic floor classes make up a steady part of the timetable, and a handful of yoga and mobility classes sit alongside them.

When do most people practice here?

Mornings carry most of the week. More than half of the classes start in the morning, and about a fifth begin before 9am, with 6am among the common start times. Evenings are a smaller share, and the day ends with a 7:15pm start at the latest.

Are there heated classes?

Heated classes are part of the mix, including Sweat60, Power Yoga, Hot26, Sweat45 and Toned, each marked with the heat symbol in the schedule. Hot yoga is a smaller share of what is on offer, so the heated sessions are a choice rather than the default.

Who leads the classes?

Lara Farwell, Lucia Galindo, Sridevi Fournier, Mathea Braatne and Samm Vye lead the most classes, and the wider faculty is in the dozens. Patti Ginsberg, Patty Roedel, Madi McBride, Julia Williams and Shannon Minyard are also among the facilitators with a regular place on the timetable.

Is it good for beginners?

Several classes are open to all levels, and a few are marked for experienced practitioners, such as the Barbell WOD, which asks for elements to be in place. Pilates Intermediate Flow suits people who already know the basics. Newcomers can look for all levels or first class ever sessions to start.

How long are the classes?

Most classes run about an hour, and typical sessions last 60 minutes. Some Pilates and Sweat sessions are shorter, at 45 or 50 minutes.
