A full week, from morning to evening

Living Flow Yoga Ashfield is run by a small team of about ten facilitators, with a handful of studios in the Yoga With Grace group. Natalie Ristoski, Teaghan Alexander and Marnie Palomares lead the most classes, and Lauren Aynscough, Claire Chow and Julie Niass also teach regularly. Each class is about an hour.

The week is spread across the day. About a third of the classes start in the morning, around a third in the evening, and about a fifth at midday. The earliest class begins at 7:15am and the latest at 7:15pm, so you can practice before or after work.

Styles and ways to practice

Flow is the most common kind of class, followed by yoga, restore, yin and calm sessions. Yin is slower, with longer holds that work the connective tissue. Flow links breath and movement in a steady sequence. Beginners and first class ever sessions give a clear start without pressure to keep up.

Classes are available in the studio and from home, with in-studio and live-from-home versions of the same sessions. Languages are English throughout, and no classes need a pass to attend.

Living Flow Yoga Ashfield: questions and answers

When do most people practice at living flow yoga ashfield?

Most of the classes here are flow, yin and beginners sessions, each running about an hour. The schedule starts as early as 7:15am and goes to 7:15pm, with the busiest starts around midday, 6pm and 7:15pm. Most people practice on Monday, Tuesday or Friday.

Are there classes for complete beginners?

Yes. Beginners classes run both in the studio and from home, and a free graduate community class is also on the timetable. The sessions are about an hour long, which gives time to settle into the basics without rushing.

What kinds of classes are offered?

Flow is the most common kind of class here, followed by yoga, restore, yin and calm sessions. Yin and restore suit a slower, longer hold. Flow moves more and connects breath with the body. Many classes are offered both in the studio and online, so you can try a style in either setting.

Can I practice from home instead of coming to the studio?

The studio runs a live option alongside in-studio sessions, so you can practice from home at the same hour as the room. Flow, yin, beginners and yang to yin all have home versions, so the format can follow your week rather than the other way round.

Where is the studio and how do I book a first class?

Living Flow Yoga Ashfield sits at Unit 1/2-6 Hercules St in Ashfield. Its own website, yogaashfield.com.au, lists the current classes and how to book a first visit.
