What the classes are

Most of the classes at muse pilates studio are labeled all levels, which makes the studio a natural first stop for someone new to pilates. Essentials (All Levels) is a 50-minute class that forms the core of the timetable. Alongside it, Muse Strength and Fire-up (HIIT) bring more intensity, while Stretch & Release and the mobility and flexibility classes offer a slower pace.

Rebound on the jumpboard is one of the studio's more distinctive classes, using a small trampoline for a different kind of movement. Strength and strong classes each make up about one in ten, so the timetable leans toward the everyday all-levels practice rather than high-intensity work.

When to practice

More than half of the classes start in the morning, with the earliest at 5am and the busiest start times at 7am and 8am. Evening classes make up about a third of the week, peaking at 5pm and 6pm. Weekend classes are a smaller part of the schedule, around a fifth. Most classes run 50 minutes, so a session fits neatly into a lunch break or before a day's work.

The studio's classes are led by a couple of dozen facilitators, including Sally Hagman, Julia Manthos, Mia Peters and Warren Roma, who teach many of the regular sessions.
