About Trivāra Pilates

Trivāra Pilates is a reformer Pilates studio on McNicoll Avenue in Milliken, Toronto. Its classes are built around the reformer, the spring-loaded bed that gives each movement resistance and support, and the studio also runs trampoline rebounder sessions and a few classical Pilates classes. The day runs from early morning to late evening, so the schedule fits both before-work and after-work practice.

It suits you if

What the studio teaches

The core of the studio is reformer Pilates, which makes up nearly all of the classes. Foundational Flow is the starting point for beginners and is open to all levels, focusing on proper form and foundational movements at a guided pace. Intermediate Reformer builds on those basics with more complex sequences and a stronger emphasis on control. Advanced Reformer is for experienced clients ready to move beyond the regular repertoire, with a faster pace and more demanding transitions.

The studio also offers Bounce and Burn, a low-impact trampoline rebounder class that adds light cardio and reinforces Pilates foundations, and Circuit Rebounder, a higher-energy class that moves through three circuits. For those who prefer a more traditional approach, The Method is a classical Pilates class based on Joseph Pilates' original order of exercises.

How the week runs

Most classes run 50 minutes, and a free 25-minute Orientation Class is available for anyone trying reformer Pilates for the first time. Classes run in the morning, midday and evening, and the studio's roughly two dozen facilitators lead sessions across all of them. Fahreen Karim, Sam Siddiqi, Catherine Mata, Phoenix Hung and Jenny Wang are among those with the most classes on the schedule.

The studio's own site, trivarapilates.com, lists the current timetable and is the place to book. Because Foundational Flow is recommended as the first step before intermediate classes, starting with the beginner or orientation class is the most direct way in.
