In ZENDEN’s words
Yin + Sound Bath is a slow, grounding experience that combines long-held, supported postures with an immersive sound journey. Each class begins with our signature Moment of Zen, a blend of meditation and instrumental sound to help you arrive, settle, and drop into stillness. From there, you’ll move through a series of yin postures, held for several minutes at a time to gently open the body’s connective tissues. This portion of the class invites deep release, quiet awareness, and a softening of both body and mind. The second half of class transitions into an extended sound bath using crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and subtle vibrations. You’ll be guided into rest as the sound supports integration, nervous system regulation, and deeper states of relaxation. Expect a calming, inward experience designed to help you slow down, listen within, and restore balance, physically, mentally, and energetically. This class is experienced entirely on our red light infrared mats, designed to support deep restoration, recovery, and overall wellness through targeted light therapy. Each mat emits a combination of 660 nm visible red light and 850 nm near-infrared (NIR) light, working at both surface and deeper levels of the body. The 660 nm wavelength penetrates the skin’s surface (approximately 1–4 mm), supporting collagen production, reducing inflammation, improving skin tone, and helping with concerns such as acne and texture. The 850 nm near-infrared light penetrates much deeper (up to 50–100 mm), reaching muscles and joints to support recovery, ease tension, and reduce overall inflammation. What to expect: Full-body exposure to red light and near-infrared therapy Deep relaxation and nervous system support Muscle recovery and tension release Skin-supportive benefits from visible red light Optional sunglasses are provided free of charge for your comfort during the session. Contraindications – this class may not be suitable if you: Have lupus or other light-sensitive autoimmune conditions Are taking medications that increase light sensitivity (photosensitizing medications) Have epilepsy or light-triggered seizures Have active cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment (unless cleared by your physician) Have open wounds, recent surgeries, or acute injuries in the area of exposure Pregnancy note: Red light therapy is generally considered low-risk, but research is still limited.
