Ricks, The Training Room, sits on Linzer Straße in Vienna's Unterbaumgarten area. Most of its classes are strength and circuit sessions, and they run early, with about half of the timetable in the morning. The space also holds Pilates, sound baths, fitnessboxen and yoga for children, with a baby room where little ones can play while a parent trains.

Strength, Pilates and more
The core of the timetable is strength and circuit training, with sessions named Early Bird, Morning Boost, After Work and Last Rep. Each is a full body session that mixes strength, endurance and functional exercises, built for mixed fitness levels in small groups. Pilates Functional joins precise body control with functional strength, and the fitnessboxen sessions at DIE ECKE build technique, combinations and partner work step by step.
The rest of the week includes restorative and sound bath sessions, joints and mobility work, and core and pelvic floor classes. Patrick, Sandra, Lena, Sophie and Suzi lead the most classes between them.
A space for families
The studio has a dedicated space for families. Kinderyoga Klangzauber lets children discover yoga poses by imitating animals, singing and playing, and the Baby Room is a play space for babies up to about 18 months, where little ones can crawl and explore while parents attend a session. Classes are offered in German, and the regular 60 minute sessions are a good length for a session before or after the working day.
Ricks – The Training Room: questions and answers
Are there classes just for women?
Yes, there is a women only session on Fridays, a 60 minute after work training. The rest of the timetable is open to everyone, with classes starting from 6:30am through to 6:45pm.
When do most people practice here?
Many classes start early. About half of the timetable falls in the morning, and classes often begin at 6:30am or 7:45am, so a session fits in before the working day starts. The busiest start times are 5:30pm and 6:45pm for after work sessions.
Is it suitable for beginners?
The studio's own description says the classes are built for every fitness level, so beginners can join the general strength and circuit sessions. Pilates Functional and the fitnessboxen sessions at DIE ECKE build up technique step by step.
What kinds of classes does Ricks offer?
Ricks offers strength and circuit training, Pilates, fitnessboxen, sound baths, yoga for children and a baby room. Sessions run for 60 minutes, and the baby room takes three hours.
Can children come along too?
Yes. Alongside the adult sessions there is Kinderyoga Klangzauber, where children explore yoga poses through play, song and movement, and a baby room for little ones up to about 18 months, where they can crawl and explore while a parent takes part in a class.
