What the classes are

WoHL N°7 is built around Pilates. Nearly all of its classes are Pilates in one form or another, and most use the Reformer, the spring-resistance bed that lets the body work with controlled, precise resistance. Core and pelvic floor work runs through almost every class.

The studio offers a range of levels. START° Reformer and MAT° Pilates are open to all levels, and BOOST° Reformer and JUMP° Reformer are for those with some experience. JUMP° adds a jumpboard for low-impact cardio, and BARRE° x Reformer blends small, precise barre movements with the Reformer.

How the week runs

Classes are 50 minutes, and the week leans toward early mornings and evenings. About a third of classes start before 9am, another third in the morning, and a similar share in the evening. Midday classes are few, and weekend classes make up about a fifth of the schedule.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays are the busiest days. Those who want to practice before work will find the 7:30am and 8:40am starts useful, while the 5:20pm and 7:20pm classes suit the end of the working day.

WoHL N°7: questions and answers

Is WoHL N°7 a good place to start Pilates?

Yes, the studio runs a steady week of Pilates, with classes starting as early as 7:30am and as late as 7:20pm. Most of the schedule is Reformer work, and many classes are open to all levels.

Which class should a first-timer book?

START° Reformer is the introduction to the Reformer, with a focus on technique, body awareness and controlled movement. It is suited to complete beginners and to anyone returning after a break. MAT° Pilates is another option for all levels, with a quieter, more inward focus.

Are there classes for pregnancy?

There are dedicated prenatal classes here, both on the mat and on the Reformer. They are gentle and supportive, and they work with breath, posture, mobility, the core and the pelvic floor throughout pregnancy.

How long are the classes and when do they run?

Classes are 50 minutes long. Early mornings and evenings carry the most of the week, and the busiest start times are 8:40am, 7:30am, 5:20pm and 7:20pm. Midday and weekend classes are fewer.

Who leads the classes?

The studio has about ten facilitators. Evgenia, Sofiya P, Maggie and Anastasija are among those who lead the most classes, and Katie, Milica, Hania, Mateja, Dana and Julia also teach regularly.
