The Pelvic Floor & Birth: Mindfulness, Mobility, and Confidence This is an introductory workshop is presented by Pelvic Health Physical Therapist Melanie Millstein, DPT, OCS. This workshop will provide education on pelvic floor anatomy, the importance of relaxation of the pelvic floor, why Kegels may not be the solution, and body changes during pregnancy. We will go through a body scan to calm the mind and relax the body and provide you with a mobility flow that will be helpful throughout pregnancy and can be started at any time! You’ll leave with a daily routine that can be used throughout pregnancy. Although this is focused on pregnancy, anyone can benefit from the practical pieces and education. Date: November 7 Time: 12 pm - 1:45 pm Cost: $35 general ticket // $30 for BSY unlimited members Meet your instructor: Melanie Millstein, DPT, OCS I am a pelvic health physical therapist passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery with a focus on helping each client return to the activities they love. If it’s running, yoga, lifting, or simply feeling strong and confident in their bodies again, it’s important to figure out what is going on and make a plan to get there. Experience and interests also include support through perimenopause and menopause with an emphasis on education, whole-body function, and long-term wellness. It is so important during all phases of life for females to be informed of their bodies and return to the activities that matter. When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, our 10-month-old son, and two dogs. I enjoy staying active with CrossFit, running, and yoga. I am currently completing my 200-hour yoga certification, as yoga, especially prenatal yoga at BSY, has had a profound impact on my life, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. **All workshop sales are non-refundable. Those who cannot attend can transfer their space to another client**
