The styles on offer
Yoga leads the schedule at Obsidian Flow, and the styles are varied. Vinyasa and power yoga build movement through breath, while Ashtanga and flow classes follow a sequence of poses. Hot yoga, including the heated flows, adds warmth to the room. Yin, restorative and candlelight classes slow the pace.
The studio also teaches Pilates, with Hot Mat Pilates CORE focusing on the core and pelvic floor. Mobility and stretch work and strength-based classes appear across the week, as do a few classes for families and classes with a calm or sleep focus.
When the classes run
Most classes run about an hour, and a few run shorter. The studio's schedule leans toward the morning, with about half of the classes starting in that part of the day. Start times cluster around noon, 5:30pm, 6am and 7pm.
About a fifth of the classes fall before 9am, which suits people who practice before work. The evening and weekend shares are similar, so there is practice available across the week.
