What the studio practices
Yoga is the core of the schedule. Vinyasa flow, hatha flow and restorative yoga run alongside power flow and mat sculpt, so a student can move from a slow, held practice to a more demanding one within the same week.
Aerial yoga adds a different kind of practice. Those classes use hanging fabric to support the body, and they run for about 75 minutes, longer than most sessions at the studio.
How the week runs
Most sessions take place in the morning, and the earliest class starts at 9am. In the evening, the latest starts are at 6pm, and the most common evening times are 5:30pm and 6pm. Weekends have few classes, with about one in ten of the week's sessions falling then.
Thursday, Wednesday and Monday are the busiest days. Most classes last an hour, so the rhythm of the week is steady and easy to plan around.
Adi Yoga Studio: questions and answers
What kinds of classes does adi yoga studio offer?
Yoga is the most common kind of class here, and a good share of the rest is strength work, power yoga and flow. Most sessions last about an hour, and the longer ones run 75 minutes, such as vinyasa flow and aerial yoga.
When do most people practice at adi yoga studio?
Most classes start in the morning, and more than half of the week's sessions fall before noon. The busiest start times are 9:30am and 11am, with a cluster around 5:30pm and 6pm in the evening. Thursday, Wednesday and Monday see the most classes.
Is there something for a slower practice?
Yes, the studio has a few classes that suit a slower pace, including restorative yoga and hatha flow. Vinyasa flow and power flow move faster, so it helps to choose based on how much movement you want.
Who leads the classes?
Cherice Granger, Gretchen Comfort, Kimberly LeCLaire, Jess Bouharevich and Emily Cole teach the most classes. The studio works with about ten facilitators in total.
Are there any less common classes?
Some of the classes are aerial yoga, which uses a hanging fabric, and mat sculpt, which combines strength work with yoga. Power yoga and strong classes are also part of the schedule, so the studio has room for several kinds of practice.
