What the heat feels like
Hot yoga is the common thread of this collection. Almost all of the classes are yoga, and most are hot yoga, which means the room is kept warm while the practice moves through standing poses, balances and flowing sequences. The infrared classes add another layer of warmth through heated panels, and about a third of the schedule is infrared. Vinyasa is the most frequent style, and the sweat that comes with it is part of what people look for here.

Anahata Yoga in West Ashley carries the largest share of the heated classes, with names that range from Wake & Bake morning flows to Hot Power Hour sessions built for the commute. The Works in downtown Charleston offers hot vinyasa at a shorter length, and Longevity Fitness Charleston in Halsey Park adds heated power vinyasa and a sculpt class that mixes yoga with light weights and intervals.
