In GOOD yoga San Diego’s words
Slow Hot Vinyasa is a mindful and rejuvenating practice that blends slow, intentional movement with the rhythm of the breath. This class emphasizes a deliberate pace, allowing students to explore deeper alignment, build strength, and cultivate awareness. The sequencing is unique to each class and teacher, offering variety while maintaining a steady flow. Poses are held for longer periods to encourage exploration of each posture, with an emphasis on cultivating balance and presence. While the room is heated to 95 degrees to encourage sweating and detoxification, the focus is on mindful movement rather than speed, making this practice accessible yet invigorating for students at all levels. Some preparatory work for inversions and more advanced postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to transition smoothly into Level 2 poses. Be ready to move, stretch, and breathe deeply in a supportive and empowering environment.
