Ascent Physical Therapy is a studio in Carson City, a short drive from the shore of Lake Tahoe, where the practice is built around movement, strength and mobility. Its schedule leans toward the morning, with a steady run of one-hour classes that many people fit in before the workday starts. The practice here is less about spectacle and more about how the body moves, held in a space that suits focused, unhurried work.
It suits you if
- you want a clear, structured core and strength practice
- you prefer early morning sessions before work
- you are returning to movement and want gentle, adjustable classes

What the practice looks like
The studio's offer centers on yoga and mobility. CoreAlign is the signature series, offered across several levels from simple to advanced, alongside Core2Floor and HardCore2Floor for those who want more strength work. Yoga for Strength and Mobility, Yin Yoga and Gentle Yoga round out the schedule, and a Foam Rolling class addresses the muscles and fascia directly.
The classes are grouped by intention. Some are restorative and calm, others are built for flexibility and joint mobility, and a few are strong and energetic. Each is labeled clearly, which makes it easy to choose a class that matches how your body feels that day.
How the week runs
Most of the classes run in the morning, with the earliest starting at 8am and a steady stream beginning before 9am. Midday sessions are also common, and the schedule tapers in the evening, with the last class starting at 5:30pm. Tuesday, Thursday and Monday carry the most classes across the week.
Around ten facilitators teach here, and a small group of them leads most of the schedule, including Tammie Bigley, Nancy Davison, Kevin Bigley, Molly Dahl and Ed Kingham. The studio is a handful of practice spaces in total, which keeps the feel focused and personal.
