What the studio teaches

Flow is the core of the timetable, with about a third of classes labeled flow and a similar share labeled sweat. Many of these run in a heated or warm room, so the temperature is part of the practice. Hot Pilates and a few hot yoga sessions are also on offer for those who want that heat in another form.

The quieter side of the schedule includes restorative and yin classes, slow flow and a regular meditation session on a donation basis. Ashtanga primary series appears for those who want a structured practice, and a smaller group of classes is aimed at experienced students.

The shape of the week

Most of the day falls in the morning, and the earliest starts begin at 7:30am. Evenings carry about a fifth of the classes, and the latest start is at 7:30pm. Weekends hold roughly a fifth of the schedule, and the busiest days are Monday, Friday and Sunday.

Two locations of studio truckee's own classes are described as pilates sculpt and core and pelvic floor work, so the week can fit around a few different goals without much change in routine.
