Pilates on East Washington Boulevard

Be Pilates is a Pilates studio on East Washington Boulevard in Bungalow Heaven, with a handful of studios in the city's network. The practice is central to everything here, and the classes are built around it rather than around any other style.

Most of the schedule runs in the morning, with more than half of the classes starting before noon and a clear peak between 8am and 11am. Midday classes make up about a fifth of the week, and a smaller share falls in the evening, with the latest start at 7:30pm.

Levels, names and how the week runs

Classes at Be Pilates carry their own names, and most of them are tied to a level, from the lighter entry classes up to level 2. Be Light and Be Grounded are good places to see how the studio approaches a class, while Be Expansive and Be Jump ask more of the body.

Each class runs 45 minutes, and a couple of dozen facilitators lead them across the week. Because the studio does not offer a pass, the schedule is the thing to plan around when you decide how often you practice.
