Pilates on the reformer and mat

Pilates is the heart of this studio, and nearly every class is built around it. About a third of the schedule is reformer work, with classes labeled for beginners, intermediate students and advanced practitioners. Mat Pilates, restorative stretch and mobility classes make up the rest, so a practice can shift from strength to recovery across the week.

Class names tell you the focus. Beginner foundations and all levels classes suit someone new to the method, while intermediate and advanced reformer classes ask for more control and familiarity with the equipment.

How the week runs

Mornings carry most of the week here. More than half of the classes fall before noon, and the busiest start times are 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am. Evenings are less crowded, with about a third of classes in the late afternoon and evening, and the latest class starts at 8:30pm.

The earliest start is 6:30am, which makes the studio workable before a commute. Weekend classes are a smaller part of the schedule, about a fifth of the total.
