What the studio offers
The studio's classes are built around Pilates. Nearly all of them focus on core and pelvic floor strength, and nearly all are open to all levels. Most classes use the reformer, and more than half combine strength work with joint and mobility exercises. Some sessions add free weights and a jump board or box, which gives a more energetic feel. Others, such as Lean & Mean, put attention on posture and breathing.
Friday, Saturday and Wednesday are the busiest days. Most classes are held in the morning, with a noticeable number in the evening and on weekends. The earliest class starts at 8am and the latest at 6pm, and each class runs for about an hour.
Who leads and where to start
Abbe, Ilana and Dani lead the most classes here, and the studio has a small group of facilitators in total. Each class is about an hour long, which gives time to work through the movements slowly and with attention to form. The Real Routine is limited to five members, so those sessions are more intimate.
For a first visit, an open level class such as Body Happy or The Real Routine is a good place to start. Pilates and Weights Fusion and Stretch and Sweat add more intensity once you are comfortable with the reformer.
