What is practiced here
Pilates is the practice that leads at @pilates, and nearly all the classes on the timetable are built on it. The studio runs mat classes alongside work on the equipment, so you can move from a floor-based session to the apparatus as your practice develops. Within that, you will find classes aimed at experienced practitioners, and others for people taking their first class.
The mix goes beyond pure Pilates. A Jumpboard Cardio Class brings more energy and sweat to the schedule, a Muscle Groups Focus Class works a particular area of the body, and a Stretch Class gives mobility and flexibility their own time.
How the week runs
Most classes at @pilates are held in the morning, with the busiest start times at 8am, 9am and 10am. Weekday mornings are the main rhythm of the studio, and Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays carry the most classes. Evening classes make up about a fifth of the timetable and begin as late as 6:30pm. Weekend classes are fewer, around one in ten of the week's offerings.
Classes last about an hour, which makes it easy to fit a session before the working day or into a midday break, though the studio itself has no midday classes. The Mature Clients/Foundational Flow Class is one of the options for people looking for a more measured pace.
