Yoga, vinyasa and the slower classes

Yoga makes up most of what the studio offers, and vinyasa flow is the style that appears most often, with about half of the classes built around it. The flow classes link breath and movement through sequences, and they range from the Level 1 Vinyasa Flow for brand new students to the Level 2 Vinyasa Flow, which includes advanced postures and inversions. Breathwork and focus-oriented sessions also run through the schedule.

Beyond flow, the studio offers a set of calmer classes. Restorative & Yoga Nidra, Gentle Bliss and Dig Deep & Breathe use long holds, floor-based stretching, guided relaxation and somatic practices to help release tension. Healthy Spine + Stable Core is a 60-minute class that works on a spine that is both flexible and well supported.

How the week is shaped

Prema Yoga's classes start early in the day and continue through the evening. Most classes start in the morning, and a fifth fall at midday, a fifth in the evening, and a fifth on weekends. The busiest start times are 9am, 10:45am, 12:30pm and 5:30pm, with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the busiest days. A studio with a few dozen facilitators spreads its classes across this week, with Ann Braden, Zepure Kouyoumdjian and Alexia Cirino among those who lead the most classes.
