A practice built around yoga

The studio's classes center on yoga, which makes up more than half of the timetable. Gentle yoga and slow flow appear regularly, along with therapeutic and somatic yoga, which focus on how the body feels as it moves. Balance Basics and breath-focused classes such as Breath & Body Flow offer a calmer counterpoint.

Pilates is also part of the mix. Fusion Pilates runs as a 75-minute class, and a shorter one-hour version is available. Fusion Fit and core strengthening classes bring a more energetic note for those who want a stronger practice.

How the week is shaped

Most classes take place in the morning, and about a fifth fall in the evenings. Weekends carry a similar share of the schedule. Tuesday, Thursday and Monday are the busiest days, which makes them a good place to start if you want a steady routine.

The studio's roughly ten facilitators divide the classes between them. Lori McCormick and Lindsy Emerson lead the largest number of classes, followed by Laura Robinson, Lale Tiejiao, Lorna Lindstrom and Christie Vallance.

Fusion Yoga Studio: questions and answers
