What the studio offers
The studio's schedule is built mostly around Pilates. Reformer is the style that runs most often, and the strength-led classes, including reformer strength, hot strength and strength with a jumpboard, make up a large share of what is on. Mat Pilates, warm form Pilates and a few yoga classes fill the rest.
The timetable is weighted toward the start and end of the day. More than half of the classes begin in the morning, with a notable cluster before 9am. Evening classes make up about a fifth of the week, and the busiest start times are 7am, 8am, 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
Who the classes suit
Most classes last 45 minutes, which keeps the sessions short enough to fit around a working day. Warm yin yoga is the longer exception at an hour. The classes are taught by a group of facilitators, with CorePlus Crew, Ruby B, Christine I and Alyssi G among those leading the most sessions.
The studio also offers a few classes designed for people before and after birth, including reformer pre and postnatal sessions. Anyone new to reformer can look through the timetable for the simpler entry points, and the restorative and yin classes give a slower pace for days when the body needs less intensity.
CorePlus Blackburn: questions and answers
What kind of classes does CorePlus Blackburn mostly teach?
Pilates is the practice most of the classes here are built on, and reformer is the style that appears most often. Most people practice at reformer or in one of the strength-led classes, so the schedule leans toward structured movement rather than a mix of styles.

Are there classes for pregnancy and after birth?
A few classes are built for people before and after birth, including reformer pre and postnatal sessions. Classes are also listed in a range of energies, from strong and sweaty to restorative, so there is room to choose what suits your body that week.
Is there a hot class I can try?
Yes. Hot mat Pilates, hot strength, hot yoga and warm yin yoga are all on the timetable, alongside reformer and mat sessions. Most classes run for 45 minutes, while the warm yin class runs for an hour.
