What is on the timetable
Pilates is the heart of this studio, and most classes are Pilates in one form or another. Joyful Pilates, the signature open level class, welcomes everyone regardless of ability, age or past experience. Joyful Dynamic builds on those movements for people with reasonable fitness and reformer practice. Joyful Burn is the most demanding, with complex, dynamic reformer sequences for experienced practitioners.
The studio also offers a few classes beyond traditional Pilates. Joyful Strong combines bodyweight, mats, resistance bands and the reformer for strength and core endurance. Joyful Sweat is a 45 minute high intensity session on the reformer and with resistance bands, and Joyful Jumpboards adds another format to the mix.
When and how classes run
The week leans toward the morning. Most classes begin between 6am and noon, and the busiest start times are 8:30am, 9am, 9:30am and 10am. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday tend to be the busiest days, and weekends make up about a fifth of the schedule.
Classes are typically 45 minutes long, and the studio runs about ten facilitators across them. If you are planning a first visit, one of the open level Joyful Pilates classes is the most direct place to start.
