What the classes look like
The studio's schedule is built around the hour. Most classes run 60 minutes, and a number of longer 75 minute sessions appear for flow, yin and restorative practice. Chair yoga is offered in a shorter 45 minute format, which suits anyone who wants a seated way into the practice.
The studio's mix of styles is broad. Yoga is the core, with vinyasa flow, ashtanga, yin and kundalini all on the timetable. Gentle, strength and somatic classes sit alongside meditation, calm and tai chi, so there is room for a slow session as well as a more active one.
How the studio is set up
Morning sessions make up the greater part of the week, and the studio is quieter in the early hours than at midday. The evening schedule runs through to a 7pm start. Weekend classes are fewer, though they still form a part of the timetable.
Love Yoga Center is run by a team of about ten facilitators. Melanie, Tatiana, Chrissie, Tama, Natalie, Elizabeth, Cassey, Julie, Susan and Price teach the most classes, and each brings their own way of leading a session.
