Dance and movement at the studio

The studio's classes lean toward dance. Jazz is the most common style, and its classes move through rhythm, elegant posture and energy, with names like Jazz I and Jazz II marking the levels. Modern dance appears as Modern I, II and III, built on the flow of breath, weight and gravity. African dance is taught on Monday evenings, with African House following straight after.

Yoga and tap sit beside these. The yoga classes are 60 minutes long and draw on Hatha and Vinyasa. Tap dance for adults is also on the timetable, and the studio offers classes for children from around eight years old upward.

How the week is shaped

Most classes take place in the evening, and Thursday, Friday and Monday are the busiest days of the week. A smaller number of classes start in the morning, and a few fall at midday or on weekends. Early morning classes begin at 8:15am, while the latest classes start at 8:30pm.

The studio is run by a team of about two dozen facilitators. Sabrina, Jochen, Sophia, Ariadne, Cornelia, Sandra, Rahät, Iza, Anastasia and Lebogang lead the largest number of classes, so you will find a steady group of teachers across the timetable.
