Practices and styles
Pilates is the center of the timetable at YoPiBa, with Reformer Pilates, Pilates Sculpt and Yogilates appearing alongside mat classes. Reformer levels are clearly marked, so the progression is easy to follow. Yoga is present as well, with Anusara, Yin, Hatha and Yoga Moon Flow, a gentle vinyasa that is set for the evening.
Barre adds a ballet-based workout for the lower body and core, and fascia training and progressive muscle relaxation round out the offering for those who want slower, more restorative sessions.
How the week runs
Classes run from early morning through the evening, with the earliest starting at 6:50am and the latest at 9:30pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday are the busiest days, and the most common start times are 9:10am, 10:30am, noon and 6pm. Most sessions last an hour, with Reformer classes often running a little shorter.
The teaching team is made up of a couple of dozen facilitators, including Carola, Dana, Jeanette and Anastasia, who lead many of the classes between them.
